Here's what the guidebooks won't tell you. Cais do Sodré — and its famous Pink Street — is hen HQ: bars stacked side by side, easy to crawl, buzzing from 10pm. Bairro Alto is the pre-midnight warm-up, a maze of tiny bars where the party spills into the street. Chiado is your daytime and dinner base — pretty, central, walkable. For rooftops, Park (built on top of a car park, no less) and TOPO do the best sunset drinks in the city, and we'll get you tables before they fill. For a hen, a shared base beats scattered hotel rooms every time — it's where the pre-drinks, the getting-ready and half the best photos happen.
