WHAT IT ACTUALLY FEELS LIKE
The group arrives at the spa around 10am or 2pm (morning and afternoon slots available). The reception team is expecting you by name, robes are laid out in the private changing suite, prosecco is ready. Everyone gets changed, starts with a glass of prosecco in the lounge, then moves to the treatment rooms for the 60-minute massage. After the massage, the group reconvenes in the pool/steam/sauna area for another 60–90 minutes of relaxation together.
The massage is a proper full-body deep-tissue or Swedish relaxation massage — not a 15-minute rushed version. Your therapist tailors the pressure to what you want. The bride's treatment is upgraded — either longer duration, premium oils, or an additional facial, depending on the spa. We tell the spa it's the bride's weekend when we confirm the booking and they make sure she knows she's the focus.
Most hen groups combine the spa morning with an afternoon activity like the cocktail workshop, flamenco class or wine tasting, then a traditional dinner and a bar crawl in the evening. The spa day is specifically designed for hen groups in Lisbon. It works for any hen group size from 6 upwards and any age range — mixed hen groups with the bride's mum, aunts and younger friends all enjoy the format equally. The private group suite means nobody feels out of place.
For mixed-gender groups or corporate retreats the spa works equally well. For stag groups, the spa day is less common but absolutely available on request — we arrange it for stags looking for a Sunday hangover recovery session rather than Saturday morning. The massage, sauna and pool do wonders for the post-bar crawl recovery.
Minimum group size is 6 people. Maximum depends on the spa but most of our partner venues can accommodate private groups of up to 20. For very large groups (25+) we can split across two adjacent treatment sessions running in parallel.
