LEARN FLAMENCO IN 90 MINUTES
A private flamenco class with a professional dancer in an authentic Lisbon dance studio. No experience needed — the session is designed to be fun and accessible for complete beginners while still teaching you real flamenco technique. The footwork, the hand movements, the posture, the attitude — within 90 minutes your group will perform a short routine together and the results are always spectacular, hilarious, or both in equal measure.
The flamenco class is a staple of hen weekends in Lisbon, particularly popular with hen groups who want something cultural that still feels celebratory. The class is social, physical without being exhausting, and produces the single best group photo of the entire weekend. Groups who book it consistently list it among the Saturday afternoon highlights.
The teacher has been performing and teaching flamenco for years and knows exactly how to pitch a 90-minute session to a group with zero dance experience. The class starts with basic techniques, builds through short sequences, and culminates in a full group routine that every member performs. The final performance is filmed by the teacher so everyone has the video.

WHAT IT ACTUALLY FEELS LIKE
The class runs for 90 minutes in a private dance studio in central Lisbon. Most groups book an afternoon slot (2pm or 4pm) so the session slots naturally between a morning activity (like a spa day) and the evening out.
The teacher opens with a warm-up and the basic flamenco posture — the arms, the hands, the footwork rhythm. You learn four or five fundamental steps and combinations, then the teacher strings them together into a short routine. The routine is rehearsed in small pieces, then run through as a full group with the music up. By the end of 90 minutes the group can perform a proper 90-second flamenco routine — and look genuinely good doing it.
The final performance is filmed on the teacher's phone and sent to the group afterwards. It's consistently one of the most shared videos from the whole hen weekend. Most hen groups pair the flamenco class with a cocktail workshop or Portuguese dinner before heading into the bar crawl. Book the full package and we'll arrange everything.
The teacher was incredible — warm, funny, endlessly patient with those of us who have two left feet. The final routine was genuinely emotional. I didn't expect to feel that proud of a flamenco performance.
A HEN PARTY CLASSIC — NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED
The flamenco class is a staple of hen parties in Lisbon, particularly popular with hen groups who want a cultural afternoon activity that still feels like a celebration. It works brilliantly for mixed-age hen groups — the bride's mum and younger friends enjoy the class equally.
For stag groups, the flamenco class is less common but available on request. Stag groups who book it usually do so as a humour choice — and consistently report it was one of the funniest 90 minutes of the whole weekend, particularly when the groom is made to perform the lead role.
Minimum group size is 6, maximum 20. The studio comfortably accommodates larger groups. No fitness or dance experience required — the session is designed for complete beginners and adapts to the pace of the group.

The teacher was incredible — warm, funny, endlessly patient with those of us who have two left feet. The final routine was genuinely emotional. I didn't expect to feel that proud of a flamenco performance.
The bride was incredible at it — turns out she has natural flamenco talent that none of us knew about. The rest of us were varying degrees of disaster. The teacher made it brilliant regardless. Highly recommend.
We did flamenco then cocktail workshop then bar crawl. The perfect hen Saturday. The flamenco gave us a story to tell all evening. The video of our final performance has been watched hundreds of times.
