Nobody likes finishing dead last, especially on a stag weekend where bragging rights count for everything, and we mean EVERYTHING. If you’re bored of indoors, then come outside, sit down on your go-kart and start your engine, ’cause your mates will make you own that tarmac!
The reason why karting is so appealing, besides the good laughs, it’s that you get to enjoy a bit of friendly competition while trying to prove who really is the “Schumacher” of the bunch! And as far as stag-do ideas go, introducing a competitive edge is always a winner.
When you’re driving a 200cc kart you’ll really notice the pull when you put the pedal to the metal! And sure, we all love a bit of friendly competition.. but the moment that green light comes up on your qualifying session, the ‘friendly’ part is hard to control, as skill, self-control and strategy come together while competing for the top spot on the podium! And can you beat the track’s fastest lap record on your way to taking the winner’s crown?
Format:After meeting your instructors and being given a full safety briefing, you’ll be handed your equipment. After that, you’ll get on the track for a practice session, after which it’s for real: have your foot on the throttle, and simply wait for the starter’s orders (can you hear the engines roar!?).
Dress Code:Comfortable clothing is recommended, while suitable footwear is essential, ideally trainers that you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Please avoid clothing that might get stuck on the go-kart (note that the engine is really close to you… and you’re really close to the ground!).
