The Algarve mega-yacht party is the single most-booked activity on every Algarve weekend we organise — stag, hen, corporate, birthday, everything. You get a private yacht chartered exclusively for your group with open bar, your own music, a professional crew, and swim stops at the Algarve's hidden beaches and sea caves (the famous Benagil Cave being the most photographed spot in Portugal).
Our standard charters run 3-4 hours from Vilamoura or Albufeira marinas and include snorkelling gear, inflatables, a DJ sound system you can connect your phone to, and unlimited drinks throughout. For groups that want the full-day upgrade, 6-8 hour charters with lunch on board, multiple beach stops, and drop-off at a private beach bar are available. This is the activity that makes every Algarve stag do and Algarve hen party extraordinary rather than just good.
The fleet we work with ranges from 40-foot modern catamarans (perfect for groups of 10-15) to 60-foot mega-yachts (for groups up to 30). Each boat comes with a full crew, safety equipment, and all the party essentials. Non-swimmers are welcome — there's plenty to do on deck without getting in the water. Non-drinkers are welcome — premium soft drinks and alcohol-free options all included in the open bar.

WHAT IT ACTUALLY FEELS LIKE
The yacht departs from Vilamoura or Albufeira marina (depending on where your group is staying). Boarding is at 11am for morning charters, 3pm for afternoon charters. The first 30 minutes is cruising along the coast, drinks flowing, music up, everyone taking photos. Then the captain drops anchor at the first swim stop — usually a hidden beach or a sea cave only accessible by boat.
The swim stops are the magic moments. The Algarve coastline has dozens of beaches you literally cannot reach any other way — Marinha Beach, Praia da Corredoura, the caves around Benagil. Your group jumps off the boat, swims to the beach, explores the caves, gets the extraordinary photos. The captain picks a different spot each time depending on sea conditions and what the group wants.
Between swim stops the boat continues cruising, drinks keep flowing, the group keeps partying on deck. For sunset charters (the most popular option for hen groups) the boat heads back towards the marina as the sun drops and the Algarve coast glows orange. Sunset photos from the yacht are consistently the best photos of the entire weekend. Book the yacht and we'll arrange the rest of the day — beach club afterwards, dinner, club entry.

THE SINGLE BEST ALGARVE ACTIVITY
The yacht is the flagship activity for every Algarve group. It works equally brilliantly for stag groups (open bar + sea + music) and hen parties (Instagram photos + private beach stops + sunset timing). Mixed-age groups love it, fitness levels don't matter, non-swimmers are fine.
Timing matters: the Algarve yacht season runs April through October. Peak season (July-August) requires booking 2-4 weeks ahead. Shoulder season (May-June, September) is ideal — warm water, blue skies, smaller crowds, better value.
Minimum group size is 8 for smaller catamarans, 12 for mega-yachts. For larger groups (20-30) we charter bigger boats or two yachts running in convoy. For groups under 8 we can arrange shared charters with other small groups (cheaper but less private).

FREQUENTLY ASKED
Standard charter is 3-4 hours. Full-day (6-8 hour) upgrades available with lunch on board and multiple beach stops. Sunset charters (2.5-3 hours timed for sunset) are the most requested option for hen groups.
Vilamoura Marina (central Algarve, most popular) or Albufeira Marina (near the main stag strip). We arrange transfers from any Algarve accommodation to the marina.
Snacks and drinks on standard charters. Lunch on board is an upgrade — typically grilled seafood, salad and bread, served at the midpoint swim stop. Mention when booking.
Perfectly fine — plenty to do on deck without swimming. Sunbathing areas, drinks area, photo spots. The swim stops are optional for each individual.
Peak season (July-August) 2-4 weeks ahead. Shoulder season (May, June, September, October) 1-2 weeks. Last-minute bookings possible but selection of boats is limited.
