What better way to unfold Lisbon history in each table that lies ahead? Our food heritage was left by Phoenicians, Romans, Celts, Arabs, Jews shared between nobleman, sailor-men, writers, poets and courtesans for me to share with you.
Let me show you the places where locals eat, drink and enjoy themselves, allow me to present the gastronomical footprint left from past civilisations, flavours behind the words and pictures of City Guides, the Codfish, the sardine, port wine, “ginjinha”, green wine, red wine, “pastel de nata”, olive oil and olives, our bread and all the typical food that is such an enormous part of our identity we pride ourselves.
Discover the typical food from north to south, local wine, “moscatel”, pastry and “petiscos (finger-food salty and spicy)” in this lovely city while learning it’s mysteries, the why’s, the who’s behind each monument and square.
