Praia Ribeiro do Cavalo, also known as Praia da Ribeira do Cavalo, is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal, being one of the most privileged “secret” destinations for those who know it. You can spend the day enjoying its crystal-clear turquoise waters and its lush landscape.
It is an oceanic beach bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, with a unique paradisiacal beauty on the coast of the Iberian Peninsula, located on the coast of Portugal in the municipality of Sesimbra.
This beach, which is known by several names such as Praia do Ribeiro do Cavalo, Praia da Ribeira do Cavalo, and also Praia da Pedreira do Cavalo, has an extensive sand located at the base of a mountainous valley and is inserted in a cove.
To the west of the slope is the stream that named the beach. To the east, we are presented with a smaller bag of sand. There are also several leixões (islets) that rise from the ocean waters in front of the beach.
