About the Special Food & Wine in Lisbon and Dinner & Sunset in Cacilhas by Ferry

We start our way to the Ferry going down one of the most Beautiful Streets of Lisbon with a great view to the Tagus river. Here is a great spot for pictures as the light is considered among photographers around the world one of the best. We will pass also Pink Street and visit the Famous Pensaoo de Amor (“Love House”).

The Ferry Ride takes 7 minutes and we will be on the other side of the River – The Fisherman’s Village of Cacilhas.

Cacilhas is located at the opposite side of the Tagus river, and it’s known for its phenomenal seafood restaurants, near the Caparica beach and the enormous statue of Cristo-rei. There is a very popular beautiful street : Rua Candido dos Reis with great local restaurants and shops.

In our First stop in Cacilhas we will enjoy a nice Combination of Shrimps and Local Beer.

Then we will will walk for some minutes in the Cliff Route (Very easy access and comfortable to walk).

The Cliff Route is the best way to observe and appreciate Lisbon from another perspective, along the riverside area of Old Almada. The panoramic view of Lisbon from this side and our chosen reference points along the tour are simply breathtaking.

We believe it’s the best sunset of Portugal having the river and Old Town of Lisbon right in front of your Eyes.

Visit to the D. Fernando and Gloria Frigate. In 1821 the Chief of Squadron (Admiral), Intendant of the Royal Navy and Inspector of the Stockpile of Goa, Cândido José Mourão Garcez Palha, proposed King João VI, through the General Government, the construction of a new frigate in Daman. And so, in 1824, begins the purchase of wood, with the drawings and instructions for the Frigate, being sent from Lisbon. Time to visit the dry dock to observe the Barracuda Submarine, an Albacore Class .

To Finalise this Experience, we will have a Seafood Dinner, of course with a great Wine to follow.
